The DMP named after renowned modern artists: Ivo Dulčić, Antun Masle and Duro Pulitika, was opened in a house at Držićeva poljana 1 which was renovated by the American government after the Croatian War of Independence. Originally conceived to serve as a memorial to Ronald Brown, American Commerce Secretary who died in an air crash flying to Dubrovnik in 1996, the house was converted into a museum that houses more than 2200 art pieces. Unfortunately, only a certain number of these works is on display among which the works by famous Croatian Cavtat-born artist Vlaho Bukovac.
