POŠIP DAYS IN SMOKVICA

Because any excuse to celebrate one of Croatia’s most famous indigenous varieties is a good one, the Days of Pošip Festival is one summer wine event you won’t want to miss. Traditionally held from the end of July to the beginning of August, during the Days of Pošip festival, the wineries in the areas of Smokvica and Čara are open in the evenings for all to taste this revered white wine. The closing evening of the festival (‘Wine Night’) even allows its visitors to mingle with winemakers while listeng to acappela music.
