Because this is our last “quiet” weekend before the Ultra crowd really begins arriving next week, we thought we would do some research to help make the lives a bit easier for the procrastinating, Ultra bunch – have you booked your accommodation yet?
For the Ultra enthusiasts whom have waited until the final last minutes to book their accommodation, you’re somewhat in luck.
Booking.com is currently showing 2,830 properties availble from July 14-18, checking in the day before the event begins at Poljud, and checking out the day after. The properties available range from hotels to apartments, providing mostly rooms or studios. Although hotel prices are steep (running you between 10,000-16,000kn for the 4 days), there are some nice rooms available in apartments directly in the center of Split, running you about 6,000kn for the 4 nights (and some places even include breakfast).
For Ultra guests that are really on a budget, do not fear! When searching booking.com for the same dates but choosing the lowest pricest to show first, there are quite a few apartments left! For example, the absolute cheapest from July14-18 is 2,694kn, offering you a double room, shared bathroom, and about 1700m from the city center. Most other apartments range between 3,000-4,000kn, providing either a studio, dorm, or double room.
Another option? Hostels! In checking hostelworld.com for the same dates (July 14-18) we are showing 184 hostels available in the Split region. One thing is for sure though: you won’t be paying normal hostel prices for this weekend. The cheapest per night will run you at least 400kn ranging all the way up to 2,000kn per night!
All in all, you do still have options, but act fast! Most properties do have warnings “last room left!” or even worse “last room left at this price!” so get to it.
