ASDA 2017 will be held at Spaladium Arena from April 26-28, 2017.

ASDA – the Adriatic Sea Defense & Aerospace Exhibition and Conference – will be hosting an international exhibition of arms and military equipment for the fourth time in Split. The event will take place at Spaladium Arena from April 26 to 28, 2017.

The activities for this year’s exhibition were announced by State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense Zdravko Jakop, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Material Resources and director of ASDA 2017 Roman Mikulić, Croatian Navy Rear Admiral Predrag Stipanović, and Commissioner of the Government for Split Branka Ramljak, reports Dalmatinski Portal on April 15, 2017.

Zdravko Jakop, as the head of the organizing committee, pointed out that all activities will take place as planned and stressed that there are already 131 registered exhibitors. From the list of exhibitors, there are 63 domestic and 68 foreign exhibitors from 22 countries. There will also be 33 international delegations in attendance.

“The main goal of this exhibition is to contribute to our economy and to strengthen our overall economic military and political relations between Croatia and its partners and allies,” said Jakop.

Roman Mikulić said that since ASDA’s beginnings in 2011, the exhibition and conference have become a traditional event in the calendar of international military exhibitions around the world, which bring in more and more interested exhibitors each year.

Predrag Stipanović announced a joint demonstration to be held in the barracks ‘Saint Nicholas’ in Split within the opening of ASDA 2017.

“This is a demonstration of joint military and security capabilities of the Croatian Armed Forces which will show the interoperability and capability of forces that participate in the surveillance and protection of maritime security in the Adriatic Sea,” said Rear Admiral Stipanović. He also added that the exercise will include the Croatian Navy, Croatian Army, Croatian Air Force, Croatian Armed forces, and for the first time the United States Naval Air Force.

Branka Ramljak said that the city of Split has great potential for large events such as ASDA.

“I’m sure that everyone that comes to Split for the exhibition will visit our cultural and historical heritage, explore the city, and take good memories from it,” said Ramljak, who added that there are already more than 3,000 overnights confirmed during the ASDA 2017 exhibition.

ASDA 2017 is sponsored by the Croatian government and is supported by the Ministry of Defense. The organizer of the exhibition is the American company TNT Production Inc., who specializes in organizing fairs of this type.
