Is Žnjan ready?
Spalatum DMC reported yesterday that they are finishing up the final details on Žnjan, that the works are essentially complete and that everything is running without delays, reports Dalmacija Danas on June 29, 2018.
We have just three days before the scheduled deadline for the catering facilities on Žnjan to be in operation. If you recall, this is a temporary solution that will be valid for 2018 and 2019. This solution will consist of eight catering units, each of which will have two modules of 12 × 12 meters plus a storage space and 300 to 400 meters of terrace space. Just one of the eight buildings is not located close to the beach and will have an area for children’s creative content. The final solution to Žnjan has been announced for the summer of 2020.
Before the first facilities are open to the public, Ante Šunjić, director of Spalatum DMC, commented on the progress.
“The final works are being done at the Žnjan plateau. The latest models are being set up, and they will be ready for all caterers from today. They are very busy working to open everything as soon as possible, and now it’s up to them about when exactly they will open their facilities. The date was not conditioned, nor could we condition it.”
“The toilets will also be ready, along with the parking spaces and storage compartments,” Šunjić added.
When asked if they would continue to do any work on Žnjan after July 1st, Šunjić answered: “It’s all complete, and there will eventually be some minor corrections here and there. There will definitely not be any construction machines or equipment.”
