Triangle of Youth Kaštela is pleased to invite you to the 8th annual Kozjak Cleaning Action which takes place today, April 22, 2017 – not coincidentally on Earth Day.
As a part of this action, Juraj Kamenjarin, Ph.D. from KEKS – Krizni eko kaštelanski stožer (Eco Crisis Headquarters Kastela) will hold a lecture to highlight the importance of environmental protection and preserving the biodiversity of Kozjak. KEKS is an NGO from Kaštela that focuses on the environmental and waste management issues in Kaštela and beyond.
The action will begin at 09:00 at the beginning of the firebreak below Malacka Mountaineers’ Lodge (Kaštel Stari). The volunteers will be organized into smaller groups, with each group cleaning a different location. The members of Triangle of Youth will make sure all the volunteers have enough food and beverages, as well as all the necessary tools throughout the day. The volunteers are asked to bring proper clothing and footwear.
All environmental enthusiasts from the city of Kaštela and beyond are encouraged to join Triangle of Youth Kaštela in an attempt to clean Kozjak and ensure it continues being the lungs of the city.
