If Poljud is not entirely sold out by tonight’s Europa League qualifier between Hajduk and Slavia Sofia, then according to estimates, at least 25,000 are believed to be at Poljud. And no, that is not a small amount.
Hajduk already sold a total of over 5000 season ticket passes for the upcoming season, which could break the record. The sale of single tickets for this evening’s match is going well, too, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on July 26, 2018.
While we should note that crowds similar to those against Everton last year should not be expected tonight, we can say that many fans are intrigued by Hajduk at the start of the season, and there are traditionally plenty of tourists, and guests, who wish to see Hajduk play.
It will madness, there is no doubt.
Yesterday afternoon at Poljud saw interesting numbers. For example, while only 1100 subscriptions were sold on Tuesday along with 11,500 tickets, an overwhelming 5000 subscriptions and 19,000 tickets were sold on Wednesday.
The number of Hajduk members is also increasing and for now, sits at 34,428 members until the next release.
Everyone is encouraged to get to Poljud early tonight to not only avoid crowds, but to, of course, enjoy welcome the new season at Poljud!
Hajduk and Slavia Sofia play tonight at 20:00.
