Mazzgoon. Friday night. Your plans? Sorted.

It comes as no surprise that we love Mazzgoon Food – because it is, after all, one of the most stunning dining experiences one could have in the heart of Split. But Mazzgoon isn’t just great because of their rotating seasonal menu which leaves you salivating after you finished your last bite; Mazzgoon’s picture-perfect ambiance is subtle and unassuming yet meticulous to detail – and all of that wrapped up in a softly lit, industrial-like sanctuary within the ancient walls of Diocletian’s Palace. The staff’s thoroughness, concern for perfection, and passion about the product they stand before is enough to lure in even the pickiest of eaters – and the expert service from start to finish will make you mistake this restaurant for one of the most recognized fine dining establishments in the world.

The current menu at Mazzgoon is an ode to winter – which includes rich flavors crafted into menu items like chicken liver and cognac pate, creamy risotto with beetroot and ricotta ice cream, spicy shrimp soup, collard rolls stuffed with baby lamb, black Slavonian pork rib eye steak, and bao buns with homemade bluefish sausage. Ready to burst the seams on your jeans, Mazzgoon has used this winter to warm up the keen and craving bellies of the citizens of Split – and this Friday night’s event proves yet another story of their culinary excellence.

This Friday, February 2, 2018, Mazzgoon will host their dear friends in the kitchen. First up, Mazzgoon welcomes Marina Gaši, chef of the fish restaurant ‘Marina’ in Novigrad. A part of Jeunes Restauranteurs, Marina is considered a ‘new’ restaurant with old traditions where you’ll find cuisine d’ auteur. The next guest Mazzgoon welcomes this Friday is one of the better known Italian chefs in Croatia – Gregorio Manucci – who is ready to bring just the right taste of Italia to your plate. And last but not least, Mazzgoon welcomes former Zagreb rapper who left the world of hip-hop for the world of chocolate – ‘El Bahattee’, aka Stiv Kahlina.

To ensure no one goes thirsty, the wine will be provided by no other than one of Hvar’s greatest winemakers, Mr. Antun Plančić, and to keep everyone on their toes, the sounds of Dj Reno from the cult ‘Fluid’ will be in charge of the tunes all night long.

The theme for Friday night’s event follows ‘Tradition and Innovation’, and we can only imagine the comestible creations this team of culinary experts will craft for the occasion.

Dinner begins at 20:00 and the evening will go into the late night hours! Reservations are highly recommended, so please call 0989877780 to save yourself a seat at this gastronomic feast.
