It’s been anything but a quiet summer at Split’s famous alleyway wine bar, Zinfandel

October 14, 2018 – Last time we checked in with you about Zinfandel, they had just launched an enticing summer menu which, mind you, boasted three award-winning dishes that blew away the judges at the Split Gourmet Expo held by SKMER in the spring. Not only did Zinfandel’s menu blow away the biggest gourmands in the country, but we have no qualms with saying the variety of flavors that make Zinfandel so much more than just a wine bar satisfied the palates of locals and tourists in Split, too.

A staple in the city since 2013, Zinfandel’s recent expansion made room for 16 more of your friends – and you already know it’s the best-kept secret in the city for live music at night, right?

But today, we’re not here to talk to you about why Zinfandel is so great (you already know that), today, we want to talk to you about why Zinfandel is one of the best options in Split for the meat lovers in the city.

For those of you looking for one of the juiciest burgers in the city, Zinfandel gives foodies a good reason to shout praises – their ‘Gourmet Burger’, which is served for lunch only, is dressed with caramelized onion, pancetta, lettuce, tomato, and aioli.

But for the meat lovers looking to up their dinner game, you’ll want to look no further than Zinfandel’s main courses.

The filet mignon with sweet potato, parsnip, and beetroot is one of the hottest offers on their ticket, while the 300 gram dry-aged Argentinian Angus Ribeye Steak is complimented with Hasselback potatoes, pancetta, parmesan, and creme fraiche.

If you’re hoping to satisfy with your palate with anything but the beef, the pork tenderloin with carrot, ginger, oyster mushrooms, onion jam and dehydrated apple is an option that will do you no wrong, though their award-winning lamb filet with potato garlic espuma, truffled soufflé, and radish is already a winner. Literally.

With no lack of options for enthusiasts of all around, high-quality cuisine, booking a table at Zinfandel this offseason is a sure way to win over the hearts of you and your guests.
