Old Club, New Vibrations: Get Ready for an Amplified Judino Drvo

In October, the people of Split will be able to see Kozmodrum and the Young Blood Brass Band.

At the new season’s opening of Judino Drvo, a press conference was held featuring the class schedule for October with announcements of some of the music we can expect this fall, reports Dalmatinski Portal on September 26, 2017.

The club, which experienced significant changes over the last year and was not the favorite club of the Split audience, will be run by Underground Control this season.

An old club of new vibrations, so to say, the organizers, who are great fans of electronic music, have announced that this season’s program will cover a wide variety of genres.

“We have put in a lot of effort. Although Underground Control is connected to electronic music parties, we’ve just taken over the best concert hall in town, so we’re not going only to keep the genre we like. Every weekend, we will try to be there for every show. You can expect premieres and something new in the city from us, and we do not want to repeat the names that have already been heard dozens of times in the city. We aim to give Split and its surroundings what it deserves, and this is an active musical program,” said Miro Burić, who further announced that parties would also host resident evenings where the club will collaborate with two influential DJ names, Antom Jakirom and DJ Solom.

Over the past year, the club decided to cut drink prices, create two bars, amplify the sound, and edit the club thematically, depending on the evening being held.

“When Miro decided to take over the club, we decided to bring in concerts that Split did not see this year. On a monthly basis, we will bring live bands, some live electronic music, and a band composed of instrumentalists. People will already see the backbone of our program in October, so on October 7th, we have the first concert of Kozmodrum. At the end of the month, we will host the Young Blood Brass Band, and every new month we will go a step above,” said Ivan Škvorc, the saxophonist of UC collective, who worked on the club’s program.

Judino Drvo is also cooperating with Paradox wine bar this season.

“At Paradox, the team will have a warm-up party, after which they will come to the club for free,” the organizers emphasized.

The first concert at Judino Drvo under new guidance is scheduled for September 30th with DJ TEVo HOWARD.

“He is a DJ, and a producer from Chicago and the man is one of the most respected in the world of house music. It is a great honor to open the program with such a name.

We have also created a new evening called ‘Lancun’ where people will come to the club, and for the entire night, the performer will be covered with a bed sheet. Guests will not know who is playing behind the sheets and they will only see the silhouettes of the artists. At the end of the night, everyone in the club will then find out who they are. We are not original with the idea, we saw it in Paris, but we liked it, and we will try to bring the story to Split. The point of this is to encourage people to listen to good music and to not come exclusively for the performer.

We are preparing a lot of surprises, but we’re not going to uncover them yet. We invite you all to Judino for a good party, a good dance and a good tune,” concluded the organizers who celebrated Split’s party offer at the Island of love at Barbarinac and Ego Free at the Turkish Tower in Split.

Let’s say that the working hours of the club are from 23:00 to 05:00.
