queerANarchive invites you to qRADIONICE, a series of workshops and events held from May 25th to 29th at Dom Mladih (Youth House). The program includes workshops in screenprinting, skateboarding, crocheting and bowling, and is organized in partnership with Cenzurom+, Teseraktom and Flomaster, all carried out by the Split Forum. Workshops will take place in and around the Youth House (Dom Mladih) and in park Zvončac. This event is open to anyone who wants new experiences, to learn different skills, and most importantly to send a positive message about the importance and protection of human rights

Workshop: Screen Printing (RADIONICA SITOTISKA)

Meeting area: The corridor next to the temple (Dom mladih)
The first day of the workshop is devoted to drawing, painting, the withdrawal line, choice of subject and the definition of art. Participants will use their own imagination to elaborate motives, with the support of the teacher, and will eventually choose 4 items to screen print.

26.5. | Thursday

The second day of the workshop will show you the process of copying drawings onto the screen. This process is developed in several phases: setting emulsion on the surface, drying, setting drawings, lighting and opening the surface under a strong jet of water. All of these steps will be taken together as a group.

The third day you will start printing on textiles for tote bags, T-shirts, jeans, scarves, shawls, anything new or old! Everything will be printed and you will learn how to mix colors and learn how to properly set the screen on the product, as well as how to drag the squeegee and leave a good impression.
