SUNDAY FEELS

The second I hear the word Sunday, I immediately think – “brunch”. Croatia still hasn’t quite clued onto this meal; yes, you can get an omelette in most restaurants, but there is so much more to it. One restaurant who is doing it pretty darn well is Brasserie on 7, hungry? Go for their big breakfast (oh my god they have hashbrowns!), after something a little lighter? They also have fantastic fresh juices, smoothies and acai bowl.

Now that you’re fuelled, we are dedicating Sunday to the Arts, here’s what’s on offer.

ART for the Soul:

Mrdjan Bajic @ Galerija Kula The first association that is inspired by his works is an accumulation made up of different building materials found in the intellectual thoughts of avant-garde and neo-avant-garde.

Ana Hušman – Film Preparation @ Galerija Umjetnina – the solo exhibition of Ana Hušman, titled “Film Preparations” focuses on the author’s recent film production – the exhibition is tied up with a series of spatial experiments, a play with sound and light and recognising Ana’s numerous collaborators (drama, cameramen, philosophers, art, historians, graphic designers…)

Exhibition and Presentation of winners from the Photo Marathon 2017 @ Photo Club Split

A great chance to view works by some potential up-and-coming photography stars! The exhibition presents 86 photos taken at the Split photomarathon; the award-winning photographers and photojournalists Tom Dubravec, Damir Borčić, Maja Prgomet and graphic designer Tanja Muslim decided on the winners. The photos were based on several themes from Marenda and Reflections, to Chaos.

Africa Goran Jović @ the Etnigrafski Museum

A black-and-white collection of portraits by Goran Jovic in Africa; Jovic presented his compilation through the lens of his camera and, in part, through the eyes of his friend Vedran Vidak.

And that’s your weekend taken care of, go out, enjoy, explore and if you discovered anything else we should know about, feel free to let us know, drop us a message on our Facebook page.
