Lancun at Judino Drvo – 23:00: Modeled after a French club, Judino Drvo will turn their stage white on Friday! A white sheet will act as a cover on the DJ booth, with a goal in mind that you, the respectable audience, only listen with your ears. The ultimate goal is that the music is the most important in this scenario and the audience should not be concerned about the look of the DJ – content more important than form. Unique dance music, hardly defined by one genre, the crowd can enjoy funk and rock and roll to studio 54 and world music hits.
Maja Šuput at Vanilla Club – 23:00: Famous Croatian pop star, Maja returns to the stage of Vanilla! Info/reservations: 099 8313 050

Or a bit of culture?
Rhinoceros at HNK – 20:00: “Nightmare of endured war reality becomes the backbone of this play in which a mysterious infection slowly turns people into rhinoceros. Metamorphosis connecting totalitarian linguistic discourse and primal human animalism becomes thus a powerful image of lost humanity in the invading tide of madness and as such a welcome theatre vaccine against all forms of collective contagions,” writes HNK.
Cabaret Splićanke at GKM – 20:00: An omnibus of five confessional stories of Split women told through stand-up comedy shows with accompanying song and glamorous dance, led by the choreography of the world-famous Lea Mujić. The performance satirizes and ironizes the gaps of today’s Split and Dalmatia, allowing everyone to relate.

And for art
“Edgy” Exhibition at Gallery of Fine Arts: Boundary is the video of Carlos Aires (Spain), Paola Canevari (Italy), and Aurore Reinhard (Finland) which links the appropriation and reinterpretation of historically recognizable cultural patterns taken from either high or popular art. These are templates that aestheticize the strength and importance of sex and sexuality, which at some historical point in time represented the provocation to eventually become the classics of their period or mainstream entertainment. By their reinterpretation, contemporary artists return the subversive charge and explore the penitential status and the relationship between sexuality and power, ideology, and sensuality.
