A look at our top picks for the weekend, November 24 to 26, 2017.

If you’re feeling like me today, then you’re most likely suffering from a turkey day hangover. Yes, many of us American expats in Split celebrated a Croatian Thanksgiving yesterday – and we’re still in a food coma.

The good thing, though, is that there is plenty of events going on this weekend to propel you out of your food coma and into some dinner, dancing, art and live music. The only thing stopping you now could be a change in the weather, but who doesn’t enjoy a little rain?

Here’s a look at what we think are some of the best events going on around the city this weekend.

Animo at Gallery of Fine Arts: Ela Gašper’s “Animo” has been reduced to the artistic work of the conceptual sign, whose reception represents his fundamental ontological character. Namely, the central role in this exhibition belongs to its visitors in the sense that it depends on their attempts to interpret this situation and its complementary components – that is, sound and object.

Ela Gašper was born in 1992 in Split. She graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Split and 2016 she completed a graduate study of painting with Dean Jokanović Toumina at the Art Academy in Split.
