Daniela Rogulj

A new kind of tourism conference is coming to Split this fall.

Thirty tour operator representatives and travel agencies from destinations around the world and about sixty of their colleagues from Croatia and the region will discuss and arrange deals on a unique basis for the business and tourism exchange SPLITB2B.

This international conference and special interest tourism workshop will be held for the first time in Split from October 18 to 21, 2017 at the Hotel Cornaro, under the organization of the Association of Destination Managers of Dalmatia.

This is a unique business and tourist exchange in Croatia where about forty representatives of Croatia and regional tourist employees will meet with around thirty foreign colleagues, tour operators, and travel agencies from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and France to establish partnerships that will result in new tourist arrivals of travelers with high spending power in the pre and post season in Croatia. The theme of this year’s meeting in Split will be ”Food & Wine” tourism.

This gathering at the Hotel Cornaro is aimed to encourage the development and sale of complex multi-day tourist products (package tours, events, and conferences) in Croatia, and consists of an educational, promotional and business part as well.

The educational lectures will be held by domestic and foreign experts, while the business part will come to fruition through workshops with full and independent B2B matchmaking software.

For the promotional part of the event, hosted buyers will go on a two-day FAM trip to experience the region of Split-Dalmatia County as a tourist destination. A tour has been planned to see Split, Omiš, Trogir, Klis and the island of Brač.

More detailed information can be found on www.splitb2b.com.

The organizers and sponsors of the event are the Association of Destination Management of Dalmatia (UDMKD), the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County, the Croatian National Tourist Board, Hotel Cornaro, the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Tourist Board of Split.
