An important notice for those of you in Split and the surrounding areas.
Due to the abundant amount of precipitation that has fallen in the city of Split and the surrounding areas over the last 24 hours, the water at the source of the Jadro River has become cloudy. The issue was announced this morning by the Water Supply and Drainage Ltd. (Vodovod) in Split, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on November 7, 2017.
Analyses have shown that the cloudy water has reached the water supply networks in the towns of Split, Solin, Kaštela and Trogir. What this means, quite simply, is that the water coming out of your facuet today may not be as crystal clear as usual. And, most importantly, it is not recommended for drinking. Chemical and microbiological parameters are currently under investigation.

It is recommended that you boil the the tap water prior to drinking, or use bottled water for the time being. This water can, however, be used for cooking, showering and other sanitary purposes.
This measure shall remain in force until further notice.
