We wrote about the Froggyland exhibition before – it turned out to be the Best Children Attraction in Split.
An unique exhibition of 507 perfectly preserved stuffed frogs made 100 years ago by a special animal stuffing technique by Ferenc Mere. The original collection counted 1000 frogs, but only 507 were saved by the current owner Ivan Medvešek.

It is a rather controversial exhibition – stuffed frogs in 21 human life scenes (in school, drinking, playing billiard, rowing..), but it is the biggest collection of this kind in the world.
Tourists love it and recommend it on Trip Advisor (with high ranking), while locals are more reserved towards those stuffed animals. The owner is struggling to get any kind of support from the local authorities, asking not much – just a proper location for the exhibition.
According to Dalmacija News, Mr. Medvešek is seriously thinking about moving the exhibition to London after 3 years in Split.
Will Split lose its unique attraction? Or will Split support it and offer a location for the exhibition to stay. At this moment, it seems, people in Split are not so much into stuffed animals..
