Much to the delight of craft beer fans in these parts, the number of beer festivals in Croatia has drastically increased in recent years. Here’s one more: the first edition of Zagreb Beer Fest that will take place between May 19th and 21st on Trg Francuske Republike (French Republic Square) and in the adjacent Park of Dr Franjo Tuđman.
A three-day programme filled with live music will be accompanied by more than a 100 available brands of beer. On Friday, May 19th, the audience will see the legendary Croatian rock band Kojoti, and the Dutch band My Baby whose previous gig in Zagreb in November 2016 was completely sold out. They’ll be followed by Desert Mountain Tribe, a psychedelic rock trio from London.
The second evening is reserved for another cult Croatian band, Jura Stublić & Film who have been present at the regional music scene from the 70s. The last day of the festival will see the rock band Artan Lili from Belgrade, band Andrija from Livno, and a local favourite coming from Zagreb, Kawasaki 3p.
