Tenth time’s the charm?
The city is offering affordable apartments for citizens to rent – cheapest rent is HRK 985, and the most expensive HRK 1,830, Večernji list reports on September 7, 2017. There are 42 apartments, ranging from 42 to 113 m2 and they are located in Novi Jelkovec, a relatively new neighbourhood in the eastern part of Zagreb.
There is a fixed price, €92 plus an extra €1.4 per square metre for 60-100 m2 apartments, and €108 plus €1.2 per square metre for apartments bigger than 100 m2. The entire housing complex was built eight years ago, there are 1,878 apartments in it and this is the tenth time that the City has announced the tender looking for new inhabitants for this part of the city. The City’s spokespeople have stated that the apartments have been used already.
