Don’t think you’re going crazy if you start seeing people who remind you of characters from Zagreb legends or real people from Zagreb’s history – it’s Zagreb Time Machine, not your brain playing tricks on you.
This traditional and very popular manifestation will take place from April 22 to October 1, 2017, so there’s plenty of time to see Zagreb’s past come to life, and, what’s better, all the events are completely free.
Marija Jurić Zagorka, Antun Gustav Matoš, Ljudevit Gaj are just some of the characters you might run into in Zagreb’s Upper Town , Saturdays and Sundays 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Other events include promenade concerts at Zrinjevac, Maksimir Park and Tkalčićeva, dance evenings, folklore performances, changing of the guard, and much more.
