The cult Kinoteka is back

All film lovers who enjoy watching movies at smaller and more intimate cinemas will be happy to know that the works on one of Zagreb’s cult cinemas are finally over and Kinoteka is back.

After closing down in 2005, extensive renovation took place and the cinema opened its door to the public on April 22,  tportal.hr reports. Kinoteka will be managed by the August Cesarec Centre for Culture and Cinema.

Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest was the first film to be screened at the new-old cinema and the organizers added that they want to attract new visitors, but also encourage old ones to come back.
Film lovers will be able to enjoy documentaries, European and other international movies, but also surprise programmes for new visitors, such as binge-watching TV shows.
