Zapruđe residents will not have access to hot water due to maintenance works.

The Central heating system in Zapruđe will undergo repair works August 1 – 15, so residents of this Novi Zagreb neighbourhood will not have hot water for more than two weeks, zagrebancija reports on July 19. This means that about 30,000 end customers will not have access to hot water.

HEP Toplinarstvo will be performing works on the main hot water pipeline in Zapruđe, south of the Youth Bridge, near Damira Tomljanovića Gavrana Street. The works are necessary in order to prevent future malfunctions and breakdowns of the central heating system and to enable a reliable and continuous heating supply during winter.

HEP Toplinarstvo has stated that alternative heating system is not possible, adding that they would do all they could do to finish the works as soon as possible and asking New Zagreb residents for patience and understanding.

Three kilometres of the existing hot water pipeline will be revitalised this year, and 5.6 km of new pipeline will be built.
