Plan D will take place September 27 – October 1 at the abandoned store behind the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.

PLAN D is an international design education platform that came out of the program upgrade process of D-DAY – an international design festival, held from 2010 to 2016. The first edition of the new festival will take place September 27 – October 1, 2017, at the abandoned store behind the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb.

Organised by the Croatian Designers Association, and with the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum as a partner, the Festival will focus on understanding designs as a profession, offering a series of lectures, workshops and exhibitions.

The opening will take place on September 27, at 7 p.m., and then visitors will have a chance to see the exhibitions every day 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., attend workshops 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and listen to interesting lectures in-between.

Some of the lecturers include Petar Jandrić, Tomislav Medak, Darija Medić, Bruce Sterling, Ivica Mitrović, Silvio Lorusso, and Lorenzo Romagnoli, and they will be discussing design and designers, and topics related to the Festival’s main topic – “Techno-optimism / Techno-pessimism,” which the main exhibition is also connected to.
