I would like to unschool my child. That would mean, no kindergarten, no preschool and no school. I made a decision, when she was a one-year old knowing, that it will not be easy in Croatia (there is no legal option for homeschooling here). Back than, I still had time, but as she grows older and her 6th birthday is getting closer and closer, I am even more curious whether or not I am going to make it here on Hvar.
Knowing how to do it, so it would be technically legal, the biggest concern is the lack of community. I know nobody, who would do it on Hvar, or even consider homeschooling/unschooling as an option for his/her kids. But maybe, there is still hope for me..
Maybe, after this week´s movies night at the Loggia.. Maybe, more of us will get an idea about the fact, that what we do to our kids in school is far from educating them (if you are one of them, please get in touch with me).
