A fun day out for the girls yesterday, as the 5 Star Hvar roadshow came to Stari Grad, and my two little ones went zooming around the old town on their scooters distributing flyers to all and sundry.
With all the hard work done, it was time for lunch at Pizzeria Marko’s where we were joined by the wonderful Maya con Dios.
Shortly after her fourth birthday, my youngest daughter Taliah announced that she would be opening her own restaurant at the age of six, that her sister would run a farm and supply her with food, and that her restaurant would only serve healthy things. No animals – just vegetables, fish… and meat!
She is taking a real interest in cooking, and is a regular helper to Mummy and Grandma, as well as enjoying her culinary trips to the province of Scottish Vrbanj. And so it was no surprise that she managed to persuade young Mario to allocate some of the pizza oven for her creations, wonderfully captured by Maya con Dios.
The future of the Hvar gastronomic scene is in safe hands…
