It has been a fine year for one of Hvar’s rising new stars, Dino Petric. The Selca resident wowed the nation with his performances on The Voice, before unluckily going out in the semi-final.
But he is not the only talented singer in the under-populated village on the old road to Hvar above Stari Grad…
In such a quiet village, one of the most beautiful sounds in the summer in years gone by has been the sound of Dino singing, and his songs being matched by a young English family a few doors down.
The Leedham Sisters are back! The leading sister songstresses from Stoke with a house in Selca, the Leedham Sisters are a familiar and popular duo busking on the streets of Hvar and in various cafes and restaurants.
Maddy and Hattie have played at the Puhijada for the last two years and, having arrived back on the island a couple of days ago, the organisers have kindly agreed to accommodate them for this year’s event on Saturday night. The Puhijada starts today, and you can see the programme here.
The Leedham Sisters are available to play on Hvar this summer, so if you are a cafe or restaurant and would like to host them, contact us on [email protected]
