Stari Grad Will be 2400 Years Old Next Year – Preparations for the Big Celebration Started

The 300th anniversary of the Alka Tournament in Sinj was very impresive in terms of events, celebrations and preparations for the actuall event. For many months, Alka seemed to be everywhere, even touring the U.S.

Stari Grad will be 2400 years old next year and altough the proper 2399th birthday falls on September 9th and thus has not yet passed, the celebrations for next year started yesterday, when a jumbo poster at the Stari Grad ferry fort was installed. I am looking forward to more of the events and preparations for the celebrations as it does not happpen every day that a city turns 2400.
