We recently spent the day doing a tour of Hvar away from the party with Huffington Post contributor Stephanie Be and photographer Taylor Michael Burk, showing them some of the lesser visited places on the island.
I was amazed to learn that it was actually Taylor’s first day ever in Europe, even though he has travelled to several exotic locations, and he must have thought Europe was quite a place, arriving on Hvar by seaplane and enjoying a luxury meal of grilled dormice before leaving.
Although he was here to take pictures (and I hope we get the chance to publish some of them – they were great), he also has a small camera taking a little footage of his first day in Europe, which you can see below.
A nice little tour of the island, starting and ending in Jelsa, and if you want to see how a Champagne bottle gets opened with a sword, or how the dormouse was presented and consumed, this is the video for you. A nice snapshot of Hvar in July.
