Tourist Board of Sinj to Finalize Their Artificial Rock Climbing Project

Daniela Rogulj

The Tourist Board of Sinj is nearing completion on their artificial rock climbing project which began last year!

Over the last four years, the Tourist Board of Sinj, with help from the Croatian Tourist Board, has received grant funds for co-financing various programs in order to improve tourism infrastructure. One of these programs was the installation of artificial rocks for climbing in the city park of Sinj. This artificial rock climbing installation will serve as a training ground to practice climbing techniques, as well as to provide incentive to progress in free climbing.

Rock climbing over the last 20 years has become a very complex and popular sport, pushing the limits of human capabilities. Climbing is an excellent recreational workout, suitable for all ages, from children to the elderly.

Recent developments have shown the need for this installment as various forms of climbing (natural rocks, sport climbing) have gained massive interest in the area. Through the promotion and development of active holidays, it is believed that this artificial wall for climbing will contribute to the tourism in Sinj.

Thus far, the ground has been prepared and the artificial rocks have been set. The final part of the project will be to set up anti-stress rubber pads, which will happen next week.

The Tourist Board of Sinj asks its citizens to be understanding and to use caution: if you decide to use the artificial rocks, do so at your own risk!
