Summer Schedule for Vrgorac:
15. 06. – 29.06: Day of the Vrgorac Town, St. Peter and Paul
Annually on the 29th June on the day of St. Peter and Paul Vrgorac celebrates “Dani Vrgorac”. The program begins with a two weeks of sporting contests such as bowling, a series of concerts and theater performances, and traditional religious fairs and evening programs.
30.06. – 05.07: With Tin in Vrgorac
The festival “With Tin in Vrgorac” is a seven-day cultural and literary event in honor of Tin Ujević. This festival hosts a number of poets, musicians and artists. The cultural program emphasizes the Artistic Literary Prize “Tin and I”, featuring songs by elementary school students across Croatia. 05.07, on the birthday of the great poet and the final evening “With Tin in Vrgorac”, is when the prestigious poetry award “Tin Ujević” is awarded by the Croatian Writers’ Association for the best book of poetry earned last year.
30.7: Ganga Fest – Žlibina
This festival features numerous bands and groups from BiH and Croatia of Gangas to Diplar and minstrels.
Second week of August: Following the traditions and folk architecture
This one day event is about traditional customs in the Great Godinje, Raščane fair of local specialties and handicrafts, carving workshops, threshing and stories with threshing and folklore.
14.08: Music Festival “Kotezi”
15:08: Assumption
Traditional religious fair in the Great Prologue near Vrgorac
Mid August: Multi-cultural festival “Zagora worse”
Open air festival “Mali Mrcko”
