One of Croatia’s largest culinary festivals brings 4 days of fun and great food.
If you’re a foodie, then Supetar on island Brač is the place to be, since the 11th edition of the utterly scrumptious culinary festival Biser mora (Pearl of the Sea) started on April 7, 2016, and it will continue until Sunday, April 10.
Before you roll your eyes and say here’s just another gastro presentation like so many other ones popping up across Croatia, here are some facts. 11th edition brings together professional chefs and students from 20 countries and for the first time, the opening was organised on the Riva in Supetar at 13:30. Chefs will be cooking around the clock with the first ever 24-hour cooking competition and since all proposed categories were filled with contestants months ago, we will definitely be witnessing some great performances and, of course, memorable dishes coming to life before our very eyes.
Biser Mora is not just about food, it is also about getting to know the micro-location and its customs so all visitors will be able to participate in various bike tours across the island, exhibitions, themed nights, visits to wineries on the island and an unforgettable trip to pustinja Blaca.
