The 3rd “Beerfest – Sjever” will take place from October 7-8 at the atrium Starog Grada and Stari Hrast in Čakovec.
From October 7 to 8, the third “Beerfest Sjever – Međimurski Beer Festival”, one of the major independent craft beer festivals in Croatia, will take place. For the third time, BFS will be held in Čakovec, in the well-known premises of Starog Hrast, and for the first time at the restaurant Shamper in the atrium of the Old Town and the centuries old castle Zrinski.
The two-day festival will be filled with a number of regional crafts, craft brewers, breweries, but also the masters of handicrafts – the so-called “Homebrewers”. With a dozen breweries from the Međimurje region, interested visitors will be able to try some of the latest craft beer, learn how to make beer, and also taste occasional beer culinary specialties. For the first time in Medjimurje, The Garden Brewery, Nick Colgan and the team behind the Garden Festival, will present their beers.
The two-day festival will not only have beer, but also music, experiences and the best entertainment.
The program begins on Friday, October 7 with the opening of the festival and the launch of the youngest Međimurje brewery “Međimurski Nice Guys Brewery” in Shamper at the atrium of the Old Town, with the “After Craft Beer Companionship” in Starog Hrast following. On Saturday, October 8 at the atrium of the Old Town, participants will be able to see how to make beer, including the process and the differences between hops and malts. In addition to talking with homebrewers and lecturers, the festival will culminate with a wide selection of craft beer.
