Accidental Cinemas Will Be Popping Up in Rijeka

Daniela Rogulj

On random days throughout July and August, several locations throughout Rijeka will be transformed into small movie theatres as part of the project “Slučajno kino” or accidental cinema, put on by Liburnia Film Festival.

Because the best things in life are spontaneous and random, the organizers have yet to release the locations for the cinemas. What is known is that the event will be showing Croatian documentaries and releases that have been shown at the Liburnia Film Festival.

The films will be screened on July 17th, 24th, 30th and August 4th. The organizers have announced that among the films will be stories about the sea, art, love, friendship, music, politics, and perhaps the creation of a documentary.
