In the first eight months of this year, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County registered more than 1.2 million tourist arrivals, amounting to more than 5.8 million overnight stays. In comparison to this same period last year, there has been an increase of 10% for arrivals and overnight stays, says the county Tourist Board.
In August of this year in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, there were 371,912 arrivals, which is 6% higher than in August 2015, and 2,035,870 overnight stays, which is 8% higher than last year.
The largest number of overnight stays were by tourists from Great Britain, followed by tourists from Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, United States, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden and so on.
In the city of Dubrovnik, in the first 8 months, there were 740,000 arrivals recorded, which is also 10% higher than last year, and 2.6 million overnight stays, which is 12% higher than last year.
These figures do not include the 175,000 overnight stays on the water (sailboats, yachts).
