So you’re coming to Croatia for a music festival this summer, and intend on spending 3-5 days with your friends, in the sun, but mostly only at the site of the festival. Since you’re already at it, why not extend your stay and see some of the gems and pearls Croatia has to offer?

Because your Croatian holiday doesn’t have to end after the music festival, here is a list of options best suited for you to go to once the music has stopped.

At Dimensions, Outlook, or Sea Splash in Pula? Yes, you’re very close to Venice and the ferries from Pula to Venice are awfully inexpensive, but try the surrounding area of Istria for size. Rovinj and Poreč are close and great for swimming, and Motovun is Anthony Bourdain’s special truffle haven.

At Hideout, Sonus, or Fresh Island in Zrce? Swim in Mali Lošinj or hang out in Pag! There are car ferries that go to Mali Lošinj daily where you can enjoy stunning beaches and nature parks, and the island of Pag has some of the best cheese you’ll ever have.

At Love International, Electric Elephant, or Soundwave in Tisno? Definitely check out Zadar and visit the sea organ and The Garden Lounge, but your close proximity to Krka National Park can have you swimming in waterfalls in no time.

At Ultra Europe in Split? Head to Hvar. The catamaran ride is less than an hour, and the Pakleni islands in Hvar patiently await you. Plus you can continue the party here at Hula Hula Beach Bar and Carpe Diem Beach.
