The Hvar wildfire captured by famous Croatian photographer Mario Romulić. 

A large fire raged on the island of Hvar this morning, burning around 100 hectares of forests and low vegetation at the Kabal Peninsula near Stari Grad in a short period of time, reports Dalmacija Danas on August 21, 2017.

Firefighters from the island of Hvar have been at the scene all day, and in the late afternoon, more help arrived from the mainland. Three Canadairs and two helicopters were also included in the firefight. 

Famous Croatian photographer Mario Romulić spent the day near Stari Grad, recording a timelapse video of the blaze; from its early beginnings to the devasted landscape that can be seen this afternoon.
