The pioneers of electronic music are taking their trademark 3-D show to Pula in August

As part of their outstandingly successful world tour, the cult German band Kraftwerk will open the 7th Dimensions Festival in Arena Pula, reports Glas Istre on February 7, 2018.

The ancient Roman amphitheatre will host a spectacular 3-D show, a typical Kraftwerk performance that is best described as Gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art, in this case combining music, video, and stunning visual effects to create a well-rounded concert experience.

Formed in 1970, Kraftwerk has been holding tight to its iconic status ever since, owing to continued experimentation with robotics and other technological innovations. Judging by the Grammy Award won for the Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2017, these pioneers of electronic music never cease to stay ahead of the game, having influenced every genre of dance music from hip-hop to techno.

Following their shows at MoMA in New York, Tate Modern in London and the Sydney Opera, it’s now the Arena’s turn to provide a perfect stage for Kraftwerk’s 3-D spectacle.

Joining the German icons in Pula are Moodymann, Nubya Garcia, Josey Rebelle and Debora Ipekel. After the opening night in the Arena, the festival is moving to Fort Punta Christo in Pula from August 30 to September 2.

Tickets for the Arena can be purchased here at a price of 240 kuna, with festival passes for the remaining three days (opening show not included) available here for 400 kuna.
