A fantastic May for Dubrovnik as enormous numbers are recorded
As DuList reported on the 3rd of June, 2017, over 274,000 guests who spent over 830,000 overnight stays were recorded in the first five months of 2017, the figures equal an impressive increase of 18 and 20 percent in comparison to the same period in 2016.
These huge numbers mean that the City of Dubrovnik has achieved record tourism results from the 1st of January to the 31st of May this year.
Among the most numerous were visitors from other European countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, domestic tourists from other parts of Croatia, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finland. There have also been increasing numbers of American tourists visiting the Pearl of the Adriatic too. In May alone, more than 126,000 visitors were recorded arriving in Dubrovnik, 15 percent more than recorded in May 2016.
May’s most numerous visitors from Europe were citizens of the United Kingdom, followed by tourists from the United States, then from Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, domestic tourists from other parts of Croatia, Canada, Australia and Korea.
The Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik have referred to May 2017 as the best ”Tourist May” in Dubrovnik!
