The 2CELLOS are back and better than ever with the release of their new album and latest music video on October 19, 2018.
2CELLOS, the most dynamic instrumental duo of today, has released their fifth and brand new album ‘Let There Be Cello’ (Sony Music Masterworks / Menart). The new album is produced by Filip Vidović, reports Novosti.hr on October 19, 2018.
After Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser’s 2017 release ‘Score’, the pair continue to explore music, give classic songs their recognizable seal, and break the boundaries between music and genres. Their new album, which includes 14 songs, even has a pleasant surprise for listeners – the duo’s two original songs ‘Concept2’ and ‘Cadenza’, which we have not had the chance to hear until now.
The album features some of the greatest hits of our lifetime, such as ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi (a song that has more than 33 million views on YouTube), ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon, and ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen. The pair even take on ‘Eye of the Tiger’ – the cult theme from ‘Rocky III’! Luka and Stjepan have made sure that the wildly popular song, which is originally performed by Survivor, sounds as powerful, convincing and energetic as ever.
‘Seven Nation Army’, The White Stripes song that could be heard around the World Cup stadiums in Russia, has been given a new light, too. If you recall, the 2CELLOS had the honor of playing the song at the UEFA Champions League final in Ukraine, just as they did the ‘Champions Anthem’, the well-known hymn of football’s favorite competition – Champions League.
In addition to the new album, the 2CELLOS have also released their latest music video for ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’, produced by Kristijan Burlović and Medvid production.
