The famous Italian brand is now available in Teslina Street.
Zagreb can add another famous fashion brand to its list – Pinko, an authentic Italian fashion brand whose story began in the early eighties. It was founded by Pietro Negra, who is still in charge of the company with his wife Cristina Rubini, and their daughters Cecilia and Catherine, who now also work with them. Pinko is sold at more than 500 locations worldwide, and some designers who collaborated with them include Mark Fast, Alessandra Facchinetti and Marina Spadafora. The company has always been distinct for its au courant vision, but also its technological innovations, timeless style, top quality materials and reasonable prices, which made it possible them to become successful worldwide.
The opening of the Zagreb boutique was a spectacular event that transformed Teslina Street into Pinko Street, directed by Aida Bukvić and Ognjen Vučinić. Not only did the street temporarily change its name, but it looked completely different as well. Professional dancers, fashion bloggers, and celebrities transformed the street into a lively, trendy, quirky and colourful runway, despite the rain.
Guests, including fashionista Olja Vori, TV presenter Marijana Batinić, actresses Mirna Medaković and Ivana Nola, fashion bloggers Isabella Rakonić and Ana Bacinger, got a sneak peek into Pinko’s 2017 Fall/Winter trends.
Pinko style is based on Italian craftsmanship, but also on a relaxed and casual style. A Pinko woman is decisive, feminine, cosmopolitan, lives in a big city, she is playful, albeit busy, and interested in the world around her. Image makers such as models Alessandra Ambrosio, Naomi Campbell, Elle MacPherson, Carmen Kass and Eva Herzigova; photographer Terry Richardson and musician Steven Klein are just some of the people who helped create the brand’s image.
Lovers of one of the most successful Italian brands enjoyed the opening of the exclusive Pinko monobrand store in Zagreb and had the opportunity to get acquainted with the philosophy of this brand that plays by its own fashion rules and believes that their clothes are made not just to be worn, but also to be felt, loved, and lived, while offering a perfect blend of sophistication and femininity in line with the spirit of the times – including techno, pop and rock fashion.
One of the lines that were presented was Sport – its sports t-shirts, fitted pants and details reminiscent of the casual 90’s, then Simple Black line with feathers, crystals and lace and lots of translucent tops and pants. There were also romantic floral combinations, lively prints, dresses and knits, woollen midi-skirts and pullovers. Contrast is the name of the Pinko game, which can be seen from the combination of woollen materials with metallic clothes, or with lace and tulle. Some parts of the collection took us back in time to the eighties, with short, oversized and sculptural lines. In addition to clothing, there is a line of bags with romantic details such as floral graphics, stars and beads, while lace and rivets give it a note of rock’n’roll.
Simply put – Pinko is a great blend of street style and couture, a combination of rock and neo-romantic, modern and retro – making it appealing to a wide range of fashion lovers and future customers. Welcome to Zagreb!
