The xx, an extremely popular English “minimal indie dream pop” band that formed back in 2005, not only return to Croatia for the first time in 4 years, but they are opening their highly anticipated first tour in 3 years at the “Bowling Hall” in Zagreb in just over a month.
An iconic British electro pop trio with a cult following, The xx will perform on Monday, November 28 at Boćarski dom. The xx chose Croatia’s capital of Zagreb to open their tour, which precedes a new, third studio album by the band.
The band’s return was marked by a Facebook post to their almost 4 million Facebook fans, complete with a handwritten photo attached to the post. The post read:
The Facebook post has already reached nearly 10k likes.
Following their opening show in Zagreb, The xx will tour through the Czech Republic, Poland and Lithuania, before playing in Japan, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Croatian’s must feel lucky that they are not only first, but one of few countries in the world to witness the band’s return.
The xx thus far have two studio albums, “XX” released back in 2009 and “Coexist” from 2012. The Croatian audience will also have the opportunity to listen to some of their greatest hits such as “Angels”, “Chained”, “VCR”, “Crystalised”, and “Islands”.
