A new boutique style music festival is hitting the streets of Zagreb this June, and we know we can’t wait!
Reflektor, Zagreb’s hottest new boutique music festival, will take place on June 3rd and 4th, set at the plateau in Tuškanac right in the heart of town. With lots of international music artists accompanied with local flavor, Reflektor is not just about the music, but also highlights the arts. Over the two festival days, the event will also have exhibitions, readings, and after party programs.
On Friday, June 3rd, the biggest act Reflektor will be presenting is British singer-songwriter Anna Calvi. Having only played in Croatia once before for Terraneo a few years back, Calvi is a powerhouse in the music world and a definite must see live act.
Supporting Calvi on the 3rd is Croatia’s own Dunja Ercegovic, putting us all under an “Americana” spell while she performs under her stage name Lovely Quinces. Luka and Anja from Zagreb’s own Side Project will also be by your side on the 3rd to help mellow you out in a shoegazing drone of perfect synth and vocals.
Day two will see alternative rock duo Blood Red Shoes from Brighton, UK as the headliners. With only a few exclusive performances under their belt this year as they are in the studio finishing their next full length album, Reflektor attendees are one of the lucky ones. Supporting Blood Red Shoes on the 4th will be Rijeka’s own Jonathan, playing a set of newly released material we can’t wait to open our ears to.
