The Concept_One showed what it can do at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed

Mate Rimac’s Concept One, the world’s first electric supercar, unleashed its 1244 horsepower at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world – a unique summer weekend that brings together cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’ to create the largest car culture event in the world. The annual hill-climb event is a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.

Rimac Automobili has been in the limelight since Richard Hammonds crashed it in Switzerland, which we wrote about here.

Jeremy Clarkson said for The times “We are not talking here about a car that’s as fast as a Lamborghini Aventador. It’s massively faster than that. It’s faster than anything else I’ve driven by a huge, huge margin,” and Hammonds commented on his test drive by saying: “I loved it. It is astonishing. It is the first all-electric supercar. And it felt genuinely futuristic and modern.”
