Great publicity for Croatia as Mate Rimac appears on EU Startups’ list of 20 of the most successful entrepreneurs in Europe.
Croatias publicity tends to revolve around its stunning coastline, its crystal clear waters and yes… well… its not so stunning (or clear, for that matter, let alone crystal clear) political shenanigans.
When it comes to the economy, jobs and the number of people in employment things tend to become yet murkier. Rarely do we see uplifting, positive stories about the very many innovative, intelligent and promising characters in the country. Only one name crops up again and again in both domestic and foreign media, that name is Mate Rimac, CEO of the wildly successful Rimac Automobili.
Featuring Rimac on their list which was published on the 3rd of May 2017, ”Europes most successful entrepreneurs under 30”, EU Startups writes: ”Rimac is CEO of Rimac Automobili, a Croatian car manufacturer that develops and produces high-performance electric cars, drivetrain and battery systems. Automobili’s first model, the Concept One, is known as the world’s fastest production electric vehicle. In 2013 Rimac established a new company Greyp Bikes, with the aim to manufacture high tech two wheelers.”
