Mate Rimac recalls the offer he received for his beloved company, which he of course turned down.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 26th of September, 2018, for the fifth year running, the most successful Croatian entrepreneurial story will be recognised and subsequently awarded with the honorary Ernst&Young Entrepreneur of the Year title, and the upcoming award ceremony will be held in March 2019, according to a report from Večernji list.

“This is a particularly nice experience, I hope to be able to get the chance to visit this event again,” stated last year’s proud winner Mate Rimac, CEO and founder of Rimac Automobili.

”Now, I’m so glad that I’ll be abe to be part of this professional jury without any pressure,” he continued.

Rimac, the young man from Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is now the famous face of one of Croatia’s most dazzling success stories, is now a member of the independent jury which consists of some other very well known and highly respected Croatian entrepreneurs: Emil Tedeschi (president of the jury), Nenad Bakić, Saša Cvetojević, Đuro Horvat, Marko Pipunić, and last but by no means least, Alan Sumina.

”It’s extremely important that the finalists are able to make numerous contacts and create partnerships, and at last year’s ceremony I met people from Slavonia, from Multinorma, who are doing incredible things. Then we made deals. It’s the same thing with the international awards [choices] in Monaco. There, we had many interesting opportunities, and anecdotes as well. There I met the Tedeschi couple, and I got made an offer for the purchase of my company, Rimac Automobili, which of course I didn’t accept,” noted Rimac.
