Simple Minds are coming to Žnjan!
The concert of the most popular Scottish rock band, Simple Minds, will be held on May 5th at one of the most beautiful beaches in Split, Žnjan! You might remember the band from their ‘Breakfast Club’ hit, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”.

After their recently released seventh album titled ’Walk Between Worlds’ and sold concerts throughout Europe, within the same tour, the City of Split and MPG Live have proudly announced the Croatian concert of one of the most popular rock bands, on one of the most beautiful Split beaches, Žnjan on May 5, 2018. The concert will also be FREE!

Singer Jim Kerr and guitarist and keyboard player Charlie Burchill will arrive in Croatia accompanied by percussionist Cherisse Osei, bassist Geda Grimes, multi-instrumentalist Gordy Goudie, and accompanying vocals by Catherine AD and Sarah Brown.
This will be this sixth concert of the cult composition in Croatia, who will return to Split after eight full years. If you recall, the band once performed at Spaladium Arena.

The celebration of the most important and biggest Split festival, the Day of the City and the centuries-old traditional celebration of Sveti Duje, will be celebrated this year on May 7th.
“We want to breathe new life into Žnjan and give it an internationally recognizable image. We believe that by organizing such a top event, at the very beginning of the tourist season, a very clear message is sent around the globe – come to Split, to Žnjan, to a new Split,” said Andro Krstulović Opara, the mayor of Split.
The Simple Minds concert will be the first big event on Žnjan beach, which will soon get a new modern look featuring a fresh concept for all ages and visitors, including sports, gastronomy and culture.
