A new year has begun, and in Croatia, thoughts of the new tourist season are not far away. Millions of tourists will once again hit the Dalmatian coast and fall in love with this beautiful country. More than a few of them will daydream of owner a property on the water, with uninterrupted sea views and direct access to the pristine Adriatic.

We caught up with Marko Pažanin, director/partner of Croatia Sothebys International Realty, to see what he expected from the 2018 market, and whether or not he had any dream properties on the market.
“In this year I expect a growth in the luxury real estate sector, in terms of the demand and the price range. There is a certain increase in the demand for properties in the coastal regions of Croatia, especially in Dalmatia and Istria. I can say that more investment projects are to be expected in 2018, especially in tourism sector. Those will be probably seafront projects and projects in the historic town centres. There is certainly a lot more interest in investments in tourism than in the prior years and this is very important since tourism is still the strongest economy branch in our country.”
