Terracotta Warriors Invade Zagreb

Zagreb invaded by ancient Chinese Warriors

Passers by on Zagreb’s Ban Jelačić Square could not believe their eyes today. A multicoloured regiment of ancient Chinese warriors has occupied their favourite square!

 

The original terracotta army was created in the ancient Chinese capital citi of Xian, for the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. The Emperor needed an army to accompany him in his afterlife, so many hundereds of life size terracotta statues of soldiers and horses were buried with him.

Nobody is burying anyone in this case, and there are no ancient Chinese Emperors, but the colourful regiment is attracting a lot of attention. The exhibition was organized to mark the upcoming Chinese New Year.
