HGSS does it again with a collection of ‘greatest hits’ they’ve seen this summer
The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) has been working around the clock through the summer, saving the silly enthusiasts among us who thought it a good idea to wander around the mountains in flip flops and shorts.
Most cases had happy endings, each one provoking a reaction from HGSS that resulted in incredibly funny posts on social networks.
In their most recent post, they published a collage of the most mind-boggling cases of the season, proving that human recklessness – we’ll be generous and not call it stupidity – has no limits. Photo after photo, it’s hard to come to terms with the fact some people really seem not to have any common sense.
Going hiking in flip flops or sandals, without any water, sunscreen or proper clothes… Climbing further without a map or any knowledge of the area… Floating away to the open sea on inflatables when it’s windy outside… ah, what can you do.
You can dish out well-meaning advice on a daily basis, and it’s still going to end up ignored by some. The HGSS will keep fighting the good fight and keep us entertained by occasionally letting off some of that steam on their accounts on Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime, take a look at this:
