Ultra Europe Music Festival was held for its 4th edition this year in Split, attracting thousands of worldwide visitors to Split’s Poljud Stadium. Zagreb is now interested in bringing something similar to the nation’s capital.
Ultra Europe is a project that has proven extremely successful in Split thus far – both in financial terms and for promotional tourism for the city.
The capital city is now interested in investing in a similar project, with Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić calling for a press conference tomorrow to confirm the rumors of this so-called new electronic music festival in Zagreb, Vijesti.hr reports.
At 14h tomorrow, September 7, a press conference will be held at Dverce where a new project will be presented: Croatia Music Week.
Croatia Music Week will be a music event held from December 31, 2016 – January 6, 2017 at the Zagreb Arena, under the organization and administration of Ultra Music Festival and in cooperation with the city of Zagreb.
The Ultra organization is responsible for a plethora of music festivals around the world including Ultra Miami, Ultra Japan, Ultra South Africa and many others.
The press conference will be attended by Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić, Split Mayor Ivo Baldasar, the Director of Ultra Europe Nikola Bušljeta, the Director of the Zagreb Tourist Board Martin Bienenfeld, and the Head of Education, Culture, and Sports Ivica Lovrić.
